The F9 key turns sound effects on and off -- the key click, and the cheerful
bopbleet you hear sometimes.
The key click is meant to be an audible signal when you use the numeric
keypad. Some people prefer it. You can always turn it off.
The F9 key will not turn off the error grumble, however. That is there for
your protection, like a good junkyard dog.
Press the F9 key again to turn sound effects back on.
